This has been one of our busiest weeks so far this summer. Gracie and I headed up to Ogden to eat lunch with Scott on Monday and then went on to Perry to visit the Pyles and pick up Ashley.
Grace LOVES Aunt Carol's house because there are so many girl things to play with, there is lots of candy, and she has cousins who give her undivided attention: Mandy, Melinda, Ashley and Mitchell!
Ashley spent two nights at our house, and Gracie loved every minute of it. The girls played practically non-stop until we headed back up to Perry on Wednesday. Jen and her boys came up that day too, and we all headed to the Brigham City pool for a few hours. It was great to be able to relax and spend time with family, and the Pyle girls are always so great to play with Gracie. Thanks Melinda for taking her down the big slide again and again and again and again!!

Before Melinda and Grace were even all the way out of the slide, you could hear Gracie say, "I want to do it again!"

On our way back south, we stopped and spent a few minutes with Scott at work. Thursday was Pioneer Day so Scott actually had the day off (if you consider getting home at noon after working all night the day off), so we headed up to the mountains to visit Jim and Becky. Before we left, Grace told us she wanted to go to Disneyland so Scott asked if she would rather go to Disneyland or to see Jim and Becky. She chose Jim and Becky! Friday we had a birthday party for Gracie's cousin Sean who turned two last week. And now it's Saturday and we don't have one thing on the agenda...

Gracie in the princess chair Jim made just for her!

Grace has been fascinated by potato bugs lately and finally got up the courage to hold one. She wasn't sure what to do once it was crawling up her arm, but she was sure of one thing: "Don't eat it," she instructed Scott and me. Her expression in the picture above followed that emphatic statement.
