Don't Worry, Be Happy

Since I've had kind of a rough week, I decided to sit down and think of a few things that have made me happy this week...

• Scott started working days!!! After a LONG winter and spring while he was working in Vegas followed by a long summer and fall working nights (and most of the day usually too), Scott is now going to work in the morning and coming home in the evening. It has been so long, I forgot what that is like. As a bonus: he shouldn't be as tired on the weekends and he'll start each week more rested!
• Seeing my baby girl Ellie smile at her mommy and hearing her sweet little baby talk. There is nothing like those first real smiles.
• Gracie's excitement at getting snow boots and a new leotard. After I mentioned that we need to get her snow boots when it was snowing over the weekend, it became Gracie's mission to get them. She asked for them constantly and didn't want to wear her regular boots, "just snow boots." I was a little worried they wouldn't be in the stores yet, but everyone's favorite store came through. Target had snow boots, leotards and the oatmeal we needed for Scott to take to work in the morning (did I mention he is working days now?) Talk about a successful shopping trip! That night, before putting on her jammies, Grace wanted to try on her leotard and boots (together of course). Then she wanted to wear them to bed. If only I had captured the moment on film... Oh, well. Just the memory makes me smile!

6. We all looked for Gracie's "purple" blanket (and finally found it)
7. I ran on the treadmill
8. I scheduled Ellie's pictures

4. Running a 4 mile race on Thanksgiving with Becka

Our little gymnast

Today Gracie started gymnastics. She loves to run and jump so we thought this would be the perfect fit for her and a great way to get out some of her endless energy. She LOVED it!! She didn't want to go home when class was over and tried to go join one of the other classes.


She didn't really understand that she will get to go every week, so I'm sure she will be excited when it is time to put her leotard on next Wednesday!
