Things we love to hear Ellie say:
Die (sad)
Wummy (yummy)
Wucky (yucky)

While sitting in the drive-thru at Walgreen's Pharmacy, Gracie said: "Mom, they always have everything we need here. Like Kelly on Handy Manny."

While Gracie was at preschool, Ellie got to play with Gracie's Barbies. On the way home from picking up Gracie, Ellie kept saying: "Sissy's Bawbie's."
Finally Gracie asked: "Mom, what does Ellie keep saying that?"
BUSTED!

"What on dot com are you doing?" Gracie asked me when I was looking at something on the Internet.

When she got cold, Gracie told Grandma she had "ruffles" on her arms. (Ruffles = goose bumps)

When Scott pushes Gracie in the swing, she tries to touch him with her feet and he runs away. Sometimes he lets her get him because she thinks it is so funny. Tonight when she "kicked" him, he said "ouch" and pretended it hurt.
Gracie: "It doesn't hurt, Dad. It's just fake. Like our Christmas tree."

Instead of nodding to say yes, Ellie raises her eyebrows over and over again with a completely blank expression on her face. It is hilarious!

Gracie asked Scott: "How does the airplane fly?"
Scott began explaining how airplanes fly.
Gracie interrupted: "No, I think it's magic."

Gracie, in the ocean: "I told you the sharks wouldn't get me, Dad."

Gracie, letting the waves chase her up the beach: "Why does the water like me?

Gracie, in spite of the hours she spent playing on the beach: "I'm not a fan of the sand."

From the bathroom, Gracie yells: "Mom, Ellie just threw my flip-flop in my pee water."
What I find: Gracie still on the toilet, brand new flip-flop in the toilet, Ellie watching it float.

The highlight of Gracie's bedtime prayer: "I'm thankful for my Hannah Montana toothpaste."

While driving, I said something to another car that tried to run me off the road. From the backseat came: "Mom, that car can't talk." The way it was said, it should have had a "duh" on the end.

Gracie, while watching Hannah Montana (the movie): Pause my show, I need to change into beautiful clothes. Like shorts and a cold (short-sleeved) shirt.

Gracie: I want my grandma. She never gets mad at me.

After Ellie got in trouble for tearing a page out of a book, Gracie looked at me and said in her most bossy voice: "You be nice to Ellie." Then she turned to Ellie: "And you stop ripping things."

Gracie: Mom, I'm not hungry anymore, but would you get me something to eat ... like a cookie?

From Gracie to you:
Good tidings we bring, to you and your kids.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Gracie, looking at the Nativity: "I want to hold the real Baby Jesus. He's cute."

"I have pretty princess shoes on so don't talk to The Princess like that." (Gracie, in response to being reprimanded.)

After spitting a bite of macaroni and cheese on the floor, Ellie pointed out where the pieces were to Rowdy so he could clean it up.

"Mom, did you give Ellie my kisses?" (Gracie asked accusingly after I smooched Ellie's cheek.)

Gracie: Mom, I don't want to get bigger.
Mom: Why not?
Gracie: Because I like being a little girl.
Then she said very sadly a few minutes later: I will miss being a little girl when I'm big like you.

Gracie's thoughts about mermaids while watching Ariel's Beginning:
How do they go poop and pee?
Why don't they put shirts on?

"These aren't kid songs, Mom." (Gracie interrupting me while singing Away in a Manger at bedtime.)

"I don't have any sleep in my body." (Gracie, trying to reason her way out of taking a nap.)

Gracie: Mom, try to not be grumpy tomorrow when I do naughty things.
